Have I mentioned yet that I love the song that plays on Shukudai-kun? The Pipette's "Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me". Yup. I love it. Anyway, episode 39's guests are Kikukawa Rei and Takabe Ai, who came to promote "Courage of the Wind" which Takabe Ai appeared in. Their homework for the audience was to find "beauty food" from around the world.
The first item brought in was from Iran, made with chicken, walnuts and pomegranate seeds. I guess it looks like normal everyday gravy to me, because it's similar to stuff we eat here. Both guests said it was sweet, while Aiba claimed that it encapsulates the "taste of Asia". Ohno just said it was really good. The next dish, from Brazil, isn't really something I'd like to try at all, containing lots of meat, including pig's ears and feet. The third dish is absolutely familiar - bak kut teh! Apparently from Singapore *rolls eyes*. Why is it that everything that belongs to so many SEA countries end up being solely credited to Singapore? Anyway, I dislike bak kut teh so yes, again, not something I'd like to eat.
After the food was the "image" section, during which Aiba and Takabe Ai attempt to eat 2kg worth of curry. Kikukawa Rei talked about her dance lessons, but they kept getting interrupted by Aiba and Takabe Ai who were still eating.
In the third part, they received homework from the audience. The letter that was picked asked how to confess to someone, so MatsuJun, Takabe Ai, and Kikukawa Rei had to do their five steps method from meeting to the final confession. As usual, this segment is good because of tsundere!Jun (^_^). Even his first step states that he'd give his contact number to the girl, but wouldn't ask for hers. In the end, he made it that the girl already had a boyfriend, but he confessed anyway.
